Welcome…
Welcome…
And it’s already an illusion, given that the moment you realize the arrival, it is already gone. On its edge, “arrive” has already become “leave”. Upon His/Her arrival the Stranger has already decided to return. Or the return has pre-decided His/Her abduction. In the mask of time you welcome His/Her back and send off His/Her face. What is already leaving and creates a perpetual cyclic situation of ephemeral arrivals, is welcome. Hence, between the opening and the creaking of the door let your weight lie down and leave its mark on this “between”. This is what I will keep, Stranger! The mark that your hesitant step will leave in this house. This is the only way to be able to follow you through your departure and to meet you again at “Welcome”.
